Cookie Notice
What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site work properly, remember your choices, and — with your consent — help us understand how visitors use Eldara and measure the performance of our campaigns. We also use related technologies such as browser localStorage and pixels; they are covered by this notice.
Essential
Required for the site to work — security, anti-spam, form submissions, and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be disabled.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| eldara_consent_v1 | Eldara (localStorage) | Stores your cookie preferences and the date you made the choice. | Up to 12 months |
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot management — helps distinguish real visitors from automated traffic. | 30 minutes |
| cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Records that you passed a Cloudflare security challenge so you are not challenged again. | Up to 12 months |
| cf_chl_* | Cloudflare Turnstile | Anti-spam verification on forms. Set after completing the CAPTCHA widget. | Session |
| __stripe_mid | Stripe | Fraud prevention for the Golden Key checkout flow. | Up to 12 months |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention — session identifier during checkout. | 30 minutes |
Analytics
When you allow analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 through our Google Tag Manager container. This helps us understand which pages and flows work for visitors. Data is aggregated and is not used to advertise to you.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes unique visitors for aggregated usage statistics. | Up to 14 months |
| _ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics 4 | Persists session state for the GA4 property. | Up to 14 months |
Marketing
When you allow marketing, we enable tracking and measurement of our ads on platforms like Meta (Facebook, Instagram) during paid campaigns. This lets us see which campaigns bring people to Eldara.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta (Facebook, Instagram) | Identifies browsers for ad attribution and campaign measurement. | Up to 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta (Facebook, Instagram) | Stores the last ad click that led to Eldara for attribution. | Up to 90 days |
Exact cookies may vary as Meta updates its products. The categories and purposes above stay the same.
Your choice by default
Until you make a choice in the cookie banner, all non-essential cookies stay off. We use Google Consent Mode v2 to signal this to Google services, so analytics and marketing tags do not run before you opt in. We do not use pre-ticked boxes, and refusing non-essential cookies is as easy as accepting them.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browser signals such as "Do Not Track" (DNT) and "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) are not yet a Canadian legal standard, and we do not currently treat them as a binding opt-out. Your choice in the Eldara cookie banner is the authoritative setting for this site. You can update it at any time using the button below.
How to change or withdraw your choice
You can review, update, or withdraw your consent at any time. Use the button below or the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer. Withdrawing your consent stops future processing under that category but does not affect processing that already happened while consent was active.
Third parties and where data may be sent
With your consent, Eldara uses Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager) and Meta (Facebook, Instagram) cookies and pixels. These providers are based in the United States and may store and process data outside Canada, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies and the data processing terms we have in place with them.
